Biographical sketch

Fabrizio was born in Milan, Italy, in 1964. He graduated in Mathematics at the University of Milan in 1989 with a thesis on representation of the Lorentz group and invariant equations. In 1990 he began teaching Mathematics at undergraduate level and, from 1993 until 2003, at high school. Since 1998 he has been Mathematics lecturer at Politecnico of Milan and Università Bocconi. From 1998 to 2002 he taught computer science in undergraduate courses and to high school teachers. Since 2002 he is at Università Bocconi where after coordinating the development and the research activities in the field of e-learning, he now teaches computer programming, helping researchers implement their models using the computer.

Fabrizio is interested in applications of Mathematics to Computer Science and in the relationship between computers and learning activities. He is also an active programmer, coding in C/C++, Perl, Matlab and VBA. In 2000 he designed and wrote a computer assisted assessment system, working on an intranet at Università Bocconi. He designed a database and coded for the collection of images from ancient rocks in Valcamonica (http://www.voli.bs.it/ir-incisionirupestri/) and several other database applications.
